Emily Zimmerman
Emily teaches children, teens, and adults, and grew up working at BellinghamART. She has a background in fine art and graphic design and has spent years creating and selling artwork, painting murals, creating illustrations, and working as a graphic designer. She took over BellinghamART in 2020 from her mom, Lynn.
Emily is thrilled to be working with children and passing on her lifetime of love for art and expression.

Amy Marchegiani
Amy is one of our children, teen, and adult teachers and has taught with BellinghamART for over 10 years! She holds a BA in fine arts and a Masters in teaching. She has years of experience teaching children of all ages, skill-levels and backgrounds. Her own art practice is full of bold color and whimsical strokes.
Amy is vibrant and welcoming, and goes above and beyond in letting children express themselves and find their artistic voice.

Karen Theusen
Karen is one of our teen and adult teachers, and often teaches our weekend workshops. She comes with over 25 years of experience creating murals, published illustrations, developing merchandise, and creating acrylic paintings. She is an expert in acrylic paint and texture, and her range of subject matter spans from landscapes to flowers to dogs to much more.
Karen is a bundle of enthusiasm and kindness, and wealth of knowledge.

Annie Schermer
Annie is one of our children’s teachers. Annie has always created art, and earned her BA in Creativity in 2013 and continues to work across disciplines creating art, music and stories. Annie has worked in textile and fiber arts, illustration, animation, and currently creates and performs music and puppetry in two performance groups.
Annie is imaginative, open, and believes everyone has something valuable and beautiful to express in the world.

Kari Dollar
Kari is one of our children and teen teachers. She is new to BellinghamART in 2023 and comes to us as a retired middle school art teacher from Texas. Kari has 25 years of teaching experience with all ages. Kari has a huge range of experience in different materials such as painting, ceramics, textiles, mixed media, photography, and more.
Kari is organized, patient, and loves working with kids. We are lucky to have her join our team. -
Robin Reece
Robin is our watercolor teacher. She is a multi-talented artist with a Fine Arts degree focused in video art and web design. She works running her own business as a professional portrait photographer, traveling internationally for photo shoots. Her creative pursuits also extend to mural painting, tattoo artistry and graphic design. In recent years, Robin has found a new passion for watercolor, where her artistic energy is currently focused. She loves working with teens and adults helping them feel confident in the art they create!
